Tournament Overview
The Caribbean Basketball Club Tournament (CBCT) Independence Day Edition 2026 will be held in Paramaribo, Suriname, from 24 to 29 November 2026. The tournament brings together premier men’s and women’s basketball clubs from across the Caribbean to compete in a professionally organized international event that promotes sporting excellence, regional cooperation, cultural exchange, and the continued growth of basketball throughout the region.
The Conrad Issa Championship Trophy
The Caribbean Basketball Club Tournament (CBCT) Men’s Championship Trophy is officially named the “Conrad Issa Championship Trophy” in honor of the Honorable Conrad Issa, Acting President of the Suriname Basketball Association (SBA).
This recognition celebrates his many years of dedication and outstanding contribution to the development of basketball and sport in Suriname. Through his leadership, commitment, and continued support of athletes and basketball organizations, he has played an important role in advancing the game both nationally and regionally.
The CBCT is proud to have its highest men’s honor bear his name as a lasting tribute to his legacy and service to Caribbean basketball.
