The CBCT Women’s Edition 2026 just got stronger!
SV Yellow Birds, the reigning 2026 Suriname Women’s Major League Champions, has officially confirmed its participation in the Caribbean Basketball Club Tournament.
Fresh from claiming the national championship, Yellow Birds will now take on a new challenge: competing for Caribbean club basketball glory against top women’s teams from across the region.
With the champions of French Guiana, Suriname’s top contenders, and potentially the champions of Guyana in the field, the stage is being set for an exciting battle between some of the region’s strongest women’s clubs. WHO WILL BE CROWNED THE FIRST CBCT WOMEN’S CHAMPION?

French Guiana Champions ASC Tours Join CBCT 2026
🇬🇫 The Caribbean Basketball Club Tournament (CBCT) is proud to officially welcome ASC Tours, the reigning Champions of French Guiana, to the CBCT Independence Day Edition 2026.
For the first time in CBCT history, ASC Tours will participate with both its Men’s and Women’s teams, adding another exciting international dimension to the tournament.
The participation of the French Guiana champions further strengthens the regional competition and reflects CBCT’s mission of uniting the Caribbean through basketball. Players and supporters can look forward to high-level competition as one of French Guiana’s most successful clubs travels to Paramaribo this November.
